Plearun

Find where the report and the record disagree.

Plearun reads a police, expert or medical report next to the logs, spreadsheets and transcripts behind it, and shows every statement that matches or conflicts, with a link to the exact row.

Sample case, fictional dataStatement 5 of 20

The report says

“My patrol vehicle was traveling about forty miles an hour.”

The camera log says

21:46:14, 10.73 m/s, which is 24 mph

traffic_camera_log.csv, row 16Conflicts with a record
Examples:

Every statement gets one of three answers.

  • Matches a record

One statement lines up with one row. It doesn’t mean the whole report is right.

  • Conflicts with a record

The statement and a row disagree on a time, a number, a unit, a speaker or a count. It’s a disagreement for you to review, not a finding about anyone’s honesty.

  • Not confirmed

There’s no matching row in the files we read, or a file may not have been read correctly. A person checks it.

Built so you can check its work.

A source for every finding

Each answer points to a row, line or timestamp you can open. When there is nothing to point to, Plearun says “not confirmed” instead of guessing.

Honest about what it couldn’t read

If a spreadsheet is malformed or a file can’t be read reliably, Plearun tells you, and never reports that as “no record exists”.

Tested blind, misses included

We test on sample cases with planted problems written by outside writers, and we publish what it catches and what it misses.

Early access for small firms and solo practitioners.

We’re building Plearun with lawyers in North and South Carolina, starting with criminal-defense and personal-injury work. Send us a short email and we’ll set up a 15-minute call.
